lmao lol !
But..actually all that cool stuff made me wonder...should I overclock my system?
I've got a Gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2G/AMD64 AM2 2Core 3800+/ X 1900XT Sapphire
Standard cpu/gpu/psu fan and..nothing else..the box stay open lol..
I can handle my computer quite well but I really don't know shit about overclocking..just that it can be dangerous for your life (PC > Bank account > wife > "drop that gun sweety,u'r gonna hurt someone ^^') |

#3 | | Site Staff | Everyone can do it. The only problem is getting this stuff for cooling ($20,000), and you can't run it for 24/7, so it's not really stable. A real OC, is a stable one.

#5 | | Stuck in "April 1st" | | M/B: Asus Rampage Formula | | | RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB PI Black | | The worst you can do overclock that 3800+ x2 to 2.4GHz (total stability) while blindfolded with both hands tied behind your back.

but to run it with high stability that is a hard part
cooling have to be the best (rege you dont need a 20,000$ to make high oc)
you can use a large fridge engine to cool your cpu,mbo and gpu almost at -25°C
and fridge engine can make your pc to run 24/7
i get scheme of that and how to make it run |

#7 | | Newbie | Since we're talking about overclocking, I've been looking for a windows based program to change my memory timings for the pc, since my bios doesn't allow for that. To my surprise, I can't find a single one.
Does anyone know of any? (I did google, btw, I always google before I ask to avoid being flamed....lol) |

#9 | | Newbie | Gigabyte GA-8pe667 Ultra with an Intel 845pe chipset. The DDR is a mix, one is samsung, the other micron. Not sure of there rating but I think the samsung is 2700 and the micron is 2100.
I was hoping to loosen the timing up a little for OC purposes. it won't let me go lower than 2.5 3 3 7.
I looked for bios updae also but it appears I have the latest version for my stuff.
thx for the help btw. |

but it would be smart to change Ram so all would be a same brand like samsung or other |
