The Lord of the Rings OnlineTM: Shadows of AngmarTM (LOTRO).

WESTWOOD, MA - April 1, 2007 -- Turbine, Inc. today announced it is with regret that the Lord of the Rings:Shadows of Angmar project is to be terminated, effective immediately.

Due to on going conflicts over copyright for the material and negotiations over extending the Middle Earth lore beyond that of the orignial books legal procedings have forced Turbine to abandon the project.

As of this time, development on this project has stopped until further notice.

We apologize to the many beta testers and pre-orders that are out there. We hope to refund the player base within the next two months.
