Thumbs down Yellow Trees and Yellow Screens in BF 2142

Well, this new NGO driver has worked for some people, but not all.

I get yellow trees, and yellow screens in Titan mode in 2142 and this is quite pathetic.

After sweating bullets thinking my video cards had hit the wall, i reinstalled the Nvidia 97.44 driver (as recommended by XFX) and the yellow issues disappeared.

Use this NGO driver release with caution.

I think screenshots would be in order here as the other members posting on this thread haven't indicated an issue with these drivers ...

OK not really screenshots of your issue on your machine which would help us solve your issue but an edited video on youtube which seems to point to general problems including patches for the game, the card itself and drivers in general.

Is this an issue you had yourself or something you just found on youtube and posted ?

I see no mention of NGO drivers in the comments just an upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium which seemed to resolve itself

Comments starting 3 weeks ago on youtube:

Have you downloaded the latest patches?

Dude.... you obviously spent some time putting together this video. So why don't you take the few minutes to confirm your running the latest versions of your video drivers and DirectX.

If you are, completely uninstall and reinstall them. I had the same problem with textures turning black, and a reinstall of my drivers fixed it.

I've completely uninstalled my video drivers and used driver cleaner etc... with each driver that supports the 8800gtx...
but no luck...
Latest version of directx also.
Theres quite a few people who are having problems liek this on games with the 8800gtx.. but i dont understand why all of a sudden it started happening and now i cant fix it..
but thanks for the tip... im going to go back through and retry everything again...
maybe something will work a miracle

I have the same problem in Dark Messiah and I get crashes here and there with the famous nv4 loop.... very frusttrating... getting really pissed. Might RMA it, so mad... i usually dont buy 500$(can) video cards, you know >_> the least would be for it to work 100%

You experience these "blanks" in other environments or games? I would suspect BF2142.

jayjayk89 (3 days ago)
Ok, thanks everyone for the input...
It was only this game that i had a problem with and I recently upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium.
Well, all my problems i was having with this game went away and it works perfect..if not better than before..

What are you talking about, it's the special 'pimp my BF' for G80's only!!!! pffft

nah, something is wrong - I have a G80GTX and only get about 70FPS on avg in GTA:SA
(E6600,2BG 667 RAM, P5B) - this should own every game, with good drivers that is....

by the way removing the ngo and installing nvidia 97.92's cures the issue.

OK .............

This issue has been reported and investigated and will be fixed in the next revision. There is no need to report same issue many times.

So you had this issue and ULed your screenshots to 5thgaming instead of posting them here first. You "went in and grabbed you all some screens". Are these your screenshots ?

I have seen cheetah2k post a youtube viddy similar to his prob but no real info ... you post third party links to images with again no information.

cheetah2k also upon his own authority warned members here not to use the NGO drivers the owner of the board codes himself ...

Get your facts straight and post salient and valid information in the future
