Default Booting problems

Hey everyone. I'm in desperate need of help right now.

I just installed NGO Nvidia Optimized driver 1.9371, and my computer stopped booting. It would show a blue screen of death and then restart. This happens even on safe mode, so I really have no way of reverting back.

My computer runs Windows XP service pack 2, has an athlon 64 3000+, a Chaintech VNF3 250, and a PNY 6800.

If anyone could help me figure out how to revert my computer back or the like, that would be amazing. Thanks.

Thats odd ... have you tried booting to your XP CD and "rolling back" that way ?

Default try F8 buton after boot

use the F8 to enter in safe mode. then uninstall these drivers and use the ones that worked before.

I actually haven't tried that yet. I'm gonna look for my CD and try it. I'll report back with how it turns out. Thanks.

It doesn't boot in safe mode. It crashes while loading safe mode. Thanks for the input tho.

[EDIT]
Wait, by "rolling back" do you mean reinstall windows? I'd rather not have to do that if at all possible. Is there some way to boot windows xp from the cd or something? Thanks

Chronostorm not talking about reinstalling Windows Bro and keep that XP disk handy it allows you to do things the boot menu doesn't. There you can boot to a DOS environment and roll back the driver so your system will boot as it did initially

On this rebooting issue saw another thread here on it and on both leaving that too Rege ... he's the code guy

Cheers and good luck !!

Is it the "upgrading your motherboard without reinstalling" thing? If it is, I can't figure out what to do from there. ^_^;;; (sorri)

And also, I can't figure out how to do a rollback :[

How would I go about doing this? Thanks for all the help you've given

and sorri bout my noobness :\

No worries mate and actually been a while since I had to do this myself ....

You could try "To repair a Windows XP installation using the recovery console" option that should re-install the stock XP drivers ... then you can install another driver after booting normally.

Will check further after work tonight

When you uninstalled your old drivers did you accidentally uninstall all your nforce drivers also? I know that don't help your issue but it is good to know what caused it. I also installed those drivers on a fx5600ultra on an nforce3 board and had no problems.
