#1 | | Newbie | | RAM: 1 gig, 1676 MB PFile | | Nvidia GeForce FX 5900XT compatable? My friend reccomended me to NGO, although, to be honest, I have no clue what it is. My first question is stated in the title, are any of the recent, stable, drivers compatable with a GeForce FX 5900XT? Secondly, I play CS:S, Half-Life 2, and a few source mods, would this allow me to have a decent and steady framerate? And, would this possibly ramp up the odds for a serious malfunction?
Regards, Ragnarök. |

i play all those games and they are stable around 60 fps for my card, but my processor may be helping.
it should not cause any errors. |

the classic cp causes the system to semi lockup at startup when the tray icon loads, and the CP itself causes the system to lockup, then blink. |

Only issue ive had with these driverrs is if you oc through the driver settings(through your display properties) the clock freq's dont like to stay(but this could be just on my system cuz i havent read of anyone else having this problem), so i just use rivatuner and it works problem free. They run alot nice then the 77.77's i was using, i dunno.

I have a friend with a FX 5200 Ultra who does not (bar none sticking freq's) either, he dont play ultra modem games with it, he plays MMPOG's on that machine and uses the NGO drivers as the IQ is better than stock drivers.
Coolbits and any of the settings that unlocks on either of the cards does not seem to cause anything like what Squall reports to have seen, odd indeed. |
