Default NGO drivers? (newbie)

I just heard about these drivers and was wondering if it would benefit me. I have a geforce 7300gs 512mb card with the latest nvidia forceware drivers. Would I see a better increase in performance in games like oblivion and titan quest? Also, the official nvidia forceware drivers I have now mess up the colors/contrast/darkness in videos (unless I open up the Nvidia Control Panel while playing a video, which for some reason sets everything right until I try and play another video - and I have to open up the panel again).

Also, if I install the ngo drivers, should I uninstall my current forceware drivers first?

Thanks for any help!

Sometimes you will get better performance in certain games with certain settings. But the biggest advantage is the problems it fixes (The ones nvidia refuses to fix).

Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and see, especially, if it fixes my video problem.

Should I uninstall my current drivers first? Or does the ngo driver need the "official" ones to be installed?

Uninstall current display drivers, restart and install ngo drivers. In case you're wondering while the file size is so much smaller, use the darn search function there's aleady a thread explaining why.

Oh hell yes!!!

Not only did ngo's amazing driver fix all my color/contrast issues on both my normal desktop and in videos, but it brought back the classic display manager!

THANK YOU

Does anyone else (i have a GF6200) run into problems with Unreal Engine games, particularly UT2003-era, drawing your HUD-weapons behind things, instead of on top of them? I had that problem with both Nvidia and NGO recent ones, had to go back to 84.21 i think it were, to get rid of the problem
