My computer keeps freezing for 3-5 seconds pretty often. I dont know why but i have an amd 64bit x2 4600+ w/ ddr2 667 ram 2gigs dual channel, mobo - m2n32-SLI DELUXE with 2 nvidia Geforce 7950 512 ddr3 ram GT OC. I dont know why this freezing keeps happening along with poor fps in cs:s and World of Warcraft. what could be my probleM?

Regeneration

Make sure to install all AMD Dual Core software (Dual Core Optimizer, AMD Driver and some Microsoft Update). Also make sure to disable Cool and Quiet from the BIOS.

Unixlord

In no particular order:
1)Get rid of/find a replacement for zonealarm
2)Install latest amd drivers and dual core optimiser but not the hotfix
3)make sure you're using pm_timer
4)Get bios rev 706 (latest) and flash using a flashdisk
5)Disable cool and quiet and in power managment select anything except minimal power mangement
6)Disable the pathetic onboard HD audio max and either A)Get a soundcard B)Get a USB headset
7)Defrag your partitions using diskeeper lite (free) and tweak your virtual memory according to tweakguides.com
8)Disable PEG LINK MODE so you know it's not messing with your gpu oc
9)Uninstall your currect graphic card drivers + cleanup then download and install the latest NGO or foreware
10)Download and install latest nforce
11)Sacrifice various people/animals on a red altar with ATI and AMD written in blood in the middle
