CPU: Amd64 X2 4600+
GPU: SLI Nvidia 7950GT
M/B: M2N32-SliDeluxe
RAM: 2Gigs DDR2 Kingston667
PSU: 600W
Default Help with SLI 7950GT OC

Well I had an alienware that was outdated and finally got it into the 21st century. I got a New motherboard, Processor, Harddrive, Ram, and of all the graphics cards. Heres the specs

Motherboard: m2N32-SLIDELUXE
Processor: AMD 64bit X2 4600+
Hardrive: some drive 10000rpm 74gigs
Ram: 2gigs of ddr-667(Kingston) Dualchanneled
Graphics: Nvidia 7950GT OC(OverClocked)x2 they are SLI

Now what i dont know is why im getting low fps. They arent low but i believe with this system they should peak higher for sure. In Counter-Strike Source i cant have the settings on MAX because i lag. I mean come on... it goes at like 50-60 fps and 80 when im staring at the floor or when im alone in the game. In world of warcraft its ok but i just dont know how to set up the best quality/performance settings. Which drivers should i use...?Will my fps increase if i switch over to NGO?

I recommend using the drivers NVIDIA provides, either the beta version or WHQL. Personally, I have never seen any improvements using the NGO optimized version for SLI. Currently I am using the 92.91 release and all my SLI profiles work great. Keep in mind that you are quad-SLI (right?) and it is still relatively new to the SLI family so you might not see much driver support or game support. For example, GothicIII runs slower for me when SLI is on Vs. when SLI is off. Also, I experience really weird lighting issues in GothicIII when SLI is enabled so I just play with it off. But other games like Battlefield 2142, GRAW, Oblivion, and many others run amazing.

I don’t know if you use coolbits REG tweak to enable some of the more advanced vid-card settings, but if you do I also recommend using the generic coolbits value of ffffff instead of the 1a value.

Hope this helps. Good luck

Is it 50-60 fps constant in game? or does it go higher? If its constant, then you have Vertical Synchronization (V-Sync for short) on. So you could turn that off, and it should have higher fps..

I still don't get why you have 667MHZ RAM on such a system. Should be 800...
