Default Using 1.9147's Overclock Feature

My hard/software: P4 3.2GHz, 2 BFG GeForce 7800 GTX OCs, Windows XP Pro SP2, 2GB RAM

I just replaced my old NGO 1.8425 drivers with 1.9147, but I can't figure out the overclock feature. When I detect the best settings, it goes to 473MHz core and 1.32GHz memory, but it refuses to stay on those settings even if I alter them manually. I used the coolbits.reg file in the AUTO OVERCLOCK thread, but it didn't activate auto-overclocking, which you guys say is bad.

How do I make the OC feature work? Should I trust the autodetect values it provided? And is auto-overclocking bad, or is it only bad for some people?

Thanks,

A
