Default XP PRO Out of Range

Hi all,

I'm new forum poster, i discover the ngo drivers few weeks ago and it's really good job.
it solve the problems of my XFX 7800GS

But today i've a problem, i use the display refresh rate utility with the drivers and i think my xp pro after playing at resolution 1024x768 85Hz stay with the refresh of 85hz on my desktop with resolution of 1600x1200 and my display doesn't support that.

Now i try everything booting in no Echec mode , in vga and always my screen is black with message : OUT OF RANGE
( so i believe xp pro start in 1600x1200 85hz and so out of range do you have an idea to reset default or low display refresh without entering in xp

I test the display with an other pc no problem

I think XP PRO stay with a high refresh rate and i can't modify it ...

Thanks a lot for your help
Nicolas
Bye

if you boot in vga mode, the video driver is not loaded, so it will boot in 800x600@60Hz
to repair it you should use anothe monitor and lower the resolution and refresh to 1024x768@60Hz or boot in safe mode and uninstall the video driver

Thanks for your answer,

I try all what tou say, but with VGA Mode the problem is the same, it's look like XP pro doesn't
take defaut configuration like 800x600 60hz...
In VGA mode it start ( xp logo ... ) in 800x600 and when i have the screen to log user after logging immédiately out of range...

well ... in VGA Mode the video driver will not load (always)
seems like there might be a windows problem or your monitor might have some isues, the cable or something ...
please, try anothe monitor on your system and post your results

boot into Vga mode, and change the resolution to 800x600.

when you boot back into normal mode, it will be at 800x600.

if vga mode doesn't work, use safemode. it won't load any video driver
