Default 91.45 vs 84.26?

I run an overclocked 6800 Ultra. Because my card suffers from the general random freezes when overclocked, I turned off fast-writes, which seemed to solve the problem with the drivers I was using that suited me the best, the 66.93s...Other drivers encountered the freezing problem even with FW turned off. Fastwrites have been turned off since I got my PC at the end of 2004. (AMD 3400+ 64bit, gig ram)

I recently got Hitman: Blood Money which wasn't running that well, so I upgraded to the NGO 84.26s which made the game run slightly better, still playable, but not optimum. Then I put my clock speeds to their default and turned on fastwrites which caused the game to run 30FPS faster on high detail (I play all my games with AA and AF off and a resolution of 1024X768, so games should still run well on high detail, right?)...Anyways, I've been thinking about other games that didnt run too well (like Oblivion) and maybe if there'd be a drastic improvement now that fastwrites is on, like I saw with Hitman.

Which drivers should I use for my card? Stick with the 84.26s or upgrade to the 91.45s? Which are faster?

The 91.xx series are still not 100% stable. The 84.26 is a fast driver, you should stick to it.

here are my results with the NGO v91.47:
res: 1280x1024/75Hz

BF2:
settings:
all medium except for the following:
dynamic shadows=off
textures=high

map: jalalabad
slots: 64 and full
65-74fps in knife walk, no action nearby
71-81fps stand still, no action nearby
77-85fps/13 lay on ground, no action nearby

i'm gonna retry plain vanilla 91.47 and see what i get.
