Hello guys, it my first posting here i found your site over the Lantasticblog. The guy have a 7800 GS too. http://blog.fabrice-pascal.de/item/1029/2006/03/31/ I realy need your help My Problems like his one but i don't have black screens on the screen ,it Freze/Lag and the PC wont react in Games or the nv4_disp.dll dies and i have to reboot my PC. First i thought my GPU running crazy hot , but it didn't it was normal temparature at Games like World of Warcraft or Anno 1701. My old 6800 GT works great with the same old official nforce drivers ver. 169.xx. The current official version 175.xx makes my Gainward 7800 GS 512 MB runs crazy sometimes. I use the 169.xx but the Problems much more bigger than before. It dies at old Games like SimCity 4 .....;( Can you help me to find the best driver for my card ? I have no idea witch one i need Windows XP ( 32-bit sp2) greetings Obsidian

For help you with your problems ... first the propers drivers for your card will be HERE.

I have just an question... it's how many time you didnt reformated your computer?(Fresh install of windows.) Maybe it should fix the problem...

And for the temperatures... if you want to control your fan on your Video Card you can download RivaTuner HERE.

But first you should do an fresh install of windows and install all the propers drivers and try it ...

If you have any questions on anything else dont be shy and post it we will be glad to help you

My Os installation isnt't realy old 3-4 months. But i dont think its the problem i regulary use Disk and registry tools to remove unused files "CCleaner" makes good work here i think. I heard from others with GF 7800 GS they reinstalled the Os and do all the things you told me ,but it didn't work. I was pissed off this shit card and put the 6800 GT in my PC again. It works without problems. It seems the most 7800er models have big problems.

Well dont check the others... do it first by yourself and check what happens.... alot of variables can be your prob and the others dont have the same stuff (software and hardware) . But by what you mean your card do crazy stuff... explain yourself... it will maybe be much easier to help you
