Non-gamer Win2k card / driver suggestions. I have a Windows 2000 Server machine that I use as a workstation (to get four cores), and it is currently running a GeForce 7600 GT with NGOHQ driver and doing just fine. The only particular problem I have is with slot usage and the placement of the inlet fan on the video adapter. Because it's a short card, it is difficult to use the adjoining slot without blocking the air inlet. I've been looking at some of the longer adapters that have fans positioned way out on the end, which might let me use the adjoining slots without worries over blocking airflow. So my questions: What are some older model numbers for boards that are single slot designs, long with fan at end, that I could use an NGOHQ driver for under Windows 2000? Ideally it would be something that naturally ran cool or that I could force to run cooler by underclocking. |
