#1 | | Newbie | | CPU: core2 t5450 2*1.66 GHZ | | | GPU: nvidiageforce 8400MGS | | pls help, NVIDIA 8400M GS DRIVER HI,( sorry for my bad english ) i'm new at this stuff, so pls help me if u can, i curently purchased an msi notebook,
specification's: CPU: Intel core2 T5450 2x1.66 GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Video: Nvidia 8400M GS ( 512MB )
Videodriver: 6.14.0011.5615
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional ( 5.1, Build 2600 )
Bios: Ver 1.000
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c ( 4.09.0000.0904 )
I read a few topics i found with google and i'm pretty confused, so i have a few questions:
I read that to change a video driver you should change some *inf.files and use the so called have disk method , but since i do not have experience in this field i don't wish to "destroy" my new notebook, so wich driver should i use? because i also read that the latest it's not always the best, and also i would apraciate if u could tell me if there are any specific ways to install the recomended driver's. someone said in this forums that that there are a few riscs with this optimized verions, so i'm pretty confused... pls help
P.S. I wish to upgrade my notebook to the most optimal driver(s), my goal is to play DMC 4. I'm not aiming for high quality, but i would be happy for achiving medium/low quality but a resonable frame rate ( at least 25 fps ). |
