Laptop Sleep Issue I've never come across this problem before on my desktop, been using NGO drivers for a long time. I have a new Compaq Presario v6000 Laptop and recently installed your latest x32 nVidia drivers. Since then it seems that whenever my laptop goes into "Sleep" mode (not to be confused with hibernate mode) e.g. I have the Power Management settings set to the hard disks to never turn off, only thing that goes off is the monitor after 15 minutes. and if the lid is closed it goes into hibernate.
On to the problem. If I allow for the 15 minutes and the monitor "goes to sleep" when I try and awaken it..it doesn't. I can still perform actions on the desktop which leads me to believe it's simple a graphic problem, however it's not fixable unless I hard-reboot the laptop. VERY annoying and I was wondering if anyone knows a reasonable fix for this aside from different graphics drivers? I have an nVidia Geforce Go 6150 graphics card in the laptop, and the latest official nVidia drivers don't seem to have this problem. Any comments concerns or help is greatly appreciated it! Thanks to everyone in advance. |
