I'd like to add, that the increased FPS was notable in games as well, not just in that one single test application. DiRT for example, which used to run VERY bad on multiple car events was now playable and tolerable.

#14 | | Newbie | All the settings have always been the default ones, which means vsync is app controlled, thread optimization is 'auto' and the rest are off.
But even when turned on, there's no difference in FPS... |

On one hand, sticking with it and trying to find what caused the boost could lead to increasing speeds for other people...
On the other hand, a reinstall would probably also solve the weird nForce issue I've had since... some time now (nTune won't detect nForce chipset settings... which means no OC whatsoever via nVidia Control Panel). |
