#1 | | Newbie | HDR + AA at the same time? Ati just released a beta driver for the use of HDR + AA at the same time. Is this something the NGO driver will incorporate or do I need to get the stock Catalyst driver? Thanks. |

So here’s the deal…Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion apparently supports AA and HDR but, in its current state, not both at the same time. ATi’s Terry Makedon was contacted by a developer who says that he had developed a patch that does in fact allow both HDR and AA. As an added bonus, the “Chuck patch” also supports AFR Crossfire mode giving gains up to 80%. Wow. We are supposed to be seeing this patch sometime today. Last week I got an email from a 3d Developer of ours (by the name of Chuck) saying if I was interested in checking out a proof of concept driver he whipped up that enables HDR plus AA at the same time. Well ya!!! So fast forward to now, thanks to Chuck Ati users can enjoy this game at a brand new level of Image Quality. It will knock your socks off. Plus the Chuck Patch also supports AFR Crossfire mode giving gains up to 80%. I urge you to benchmark this yourself but here is what Chuck measured. Hurrah to Chuck!!!! |

#3 | | Newbie | Ahh, my mistake. Do the regular Catalyst drivers require Microsoft Framework? |
