#1 | | Guest | First of all from what I understand what your driver and the rest of the tweaked drivers out there have in them is simply an old version of the atioglxx.dll file from version 3.4 of their catalyst drivers... that's from what I know, and that's the only tweak to the drivers that are made.
Somewhere you mentioned Omega's tweaked drivers, and unlike your tweaked drivers he has many options in his control panell to play with the settings of the openGL and the Direct3D, althought I haven't seen these options in his newer drivers in the control panell but then again i'm using his old drivers where these settings are also tweakable from his control panell.
I had experience with your tweaked ATi driver and not only that it doesn't come with a control panell but it also doesn't elaborate on what was tweaked in those drivers, you claim they are optimized to the max but I had better fps with my Sapphire Radeon 9550 with Omega's older 4.7 tweaked catalyst drivers optimized in Omega's controll panell to all performance.
The question is how the hell can you maintain 100 FPS in CS with an older Radeon card like from series 9600 and lower? it seems that there's no solution to the FPS drops with these cards, even my older GF 2 MX 400 could put out 100 FPS at most situations unless it was under some serious load...
Will you provide more tweakable settings for openGL and Direct3D ? will you ever release a driver that will finally give ATi users 100 stable FPS in CS 1.6?
Oh and correct me if i'm wrong, but I could copy the same atioglxx.dll file from your drivers or omega's and put the file in my windows dir using the latest ATi stock catalyst drivers and it would give me the same result as with any of those so called "modified" drivers out there?
Edit:
My system (if it's has any relevance):
P4 2 GHZ
256 MB DDRAM
Sapphire Radeon 9550
Windows XP Home Edition
40 GB HD | |

#2 | | Site Staff | Omega driver use RadLinker as Control panel.
Our releases are tweaked as well otherwise old atioglxx.dll as Option!
The old opengl driver is not installed by default. We added OpenGL tool to swap between old driver and new driver.
The driver is fully tweaked to both OpenGL and DirectX. For example the SSE, SSE2, 3DNow is disabled by default in the official Catalyst drivers and it’s enabled in the NGO Driver.
Your information source is completely wrong! Our sets have many OpenGL and DirectX Tweaks too. You can these options by installing Radlinker |

#6 | | Advanced Newbie | | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT | | | RAM: 2x512MB Kingstone DDR2 | | I'm using DNA drivers right now ( on a RADEON 9000 based card ). I've interested them only because they have "optimizations for America's Army". But with them ON game works sometimes stranger with optimizations turned OFF... |

#8 | | Guest | You but you haven't answered the real question when will we see drivers for the simple folks out there who can't afford a fancy 9800 pro or whatever that can fully cranck out 100 stable FPS from CS 1.6?
There must be redemption!

#10 | | Guest | I like using Ati Optimized Driver V2.0 (I don't even know V2.1 is out) and don't give me much problem.
