Are there any real benefits to peope like me with the "last" genration cards like 9800Pro or are these new drivers improving FPS etc on the new gen cards?

Do we need to d/l them and will we see gains?

Well there is one new feature that i liked, Adaptive antialiasing, its strangely not mentioned
in the official Cat 5.9 but ive tried it and it was werry nice indeed. I used 2x adaptive antialiasing
2 x temporal and 16x Aniso in preformance mode, it indeed looked nice and i got very good
frame rates in Morrowind even tho i only have 128mb on my 9800pro on. ther are aslo
minor gains in standard game preformance.

When it comes to the NGO Cat 5.9 based drivers, well who knows, i do have a hunch why
the driver development has halted, for an other reason than the driver not being beta, but that il keep to myself. Making NGOHQ.com into a rumor mill is not going to help the development

yeah it is strange how the 5.8 NGO driver was out the same day as the ATI driver and now this one is real late. i think you may be right

As i said earlier lets keep our guns holsterd, making bold statments without
any good reason is just plain silly. I may have been sitting on the fence for a long time
but that does not mean that im blind to whats going on, NGO has gone trough a lot
of changes since it`s creation, and it`s nececary to do so also in the future if things
are to improve, its limited what one man can do, and Regeneration probably has
discoverd this the hard way, lots of work and little feedback and no thanks.
When ungratefulness is the only thanks he gets for all his toil and hard work, i can imagine
that it would make an impact on his will to work, who can blame him for that? who would
work for no pay if there is almost no one that support your work and tell you that youre doing a good job?
i think that Regeneration has done a great job the whole time, just because the rest of the world grows colder does not mean that we should do the same.

As the king under the mountain said to Bilbo: "May the hair on his feet never fall out"

A strange post indeed, all may not agree, but i feelt that it needed to be said.....

Totally agree. I have only ever sent Regeneration a couple of PMs, but both times he replied almost straight away. Add this to the fact that the NGO Catalysts are the best you can get and I hope that he continues to make many more sets for years to come.

Completely agree Zandro! People nowadays want to get everything but when it comes to saying thanks......

I want to say a very big thank you to Regeneration! You did a great job!
I was testing around with drivers. The Omega's and the official catalyst. Omega is ok. The official Catalyst are also ok, but only the version without CCC. Ohh man.... i hate CCC! Slowing up your pc and uninstalling them isn't always a pleasure. When i tried de NGO drivers i was sold Great stability and good performance. Better then the Omega's on my pc.

I'm really looking forward to try out the NGO's based on Catalyst 5.9 (or 5.10 )
