eh? you have the catalyst 5.9? right? :P
that one will work with all your games. but when your going to use the catalysts you might as well download the newest version, atm 5.10. which does not yet have the opengl memory optimalizations for the X1x00 cards. most likely the 5.11s will have the opengl memory optimizations.

when your using NGO drivers the newest is 2.5.8 afaik and it should work just as well with all your games..

Sounds like Catalyst 5.10a(hotfix) or perhaps a leak of the one sent to testers of X1800 XL cards
