Hello!
So, my problem is concerning the cs 1.6 ultimate drivers. The drivers are perfect, they give nice fps with my r9800Pro, BUT when I go to windows in the middle of the game, the screen "breaks" or "goes to pieces" or something like that. I've tried many many other drivers and never had this problem.Anyone got any idea what on earth is going on?

They are drivers which are made especially for dedicated counter-strike 1.6 gamers. In other words, they give more FPS to "old" CS 1.6 than new games. They are so far the one and only drivers i've found well working on 1.6 with R9800Pro. http://files.filefront.com/ATI_Ultim.../fileinfo.html .
And some info the drivermaker gave himself: " The Ultimate CS drivers are based on the older catalyst, the ones designed around older OpenGL platform games. Specifically for CS, this driver fixes a multitude of bugs including unreasonably high recoil and strange fps drops. Warning: This driver was made specifically for Counter-Strike (1.6), the use of these drivers in compilation with newer games may result in lackluster performance. As for 1.6, you may never find a better driver. Current release also does not support x800+ series. Lastly, graphical anomalies have known to make themselves present under 16bit color depth. Make sure you're running in 32bit when playing Counter-Strike."

try new NGO 1.5.8 ... you can use OpenGL driver switcher for old games like CS 1.6

they are fine, but when i minimize counter strike and then go back it messes up and i have to restart cs, any clue how to fix it?

set your desktop resolution to the same size as your counter strike resolution and you can alt tab without getting those errors
