#7 | | Guest | First off, i'd like to say i like the functionality this set provides. The overclocking, clock profiles, tweaks, screenshot, audio... all that in one package. just what i've been looking for. Finally a driver set that has it all. Keep up the good work.
Now... a few a few minor bugs i ran into-
- the only way to overclock, and have the clocks "stick", is with the gpu/mem tester. When i used the slider bars to up the clocks, it would not register in "Current gpu/mem" boxes at the top. The info in those boxes is obviously what the profiles save because i couldn't save a profile by using the slider bar.
- the mem tester overclocked my memory a good bit too far (say 10 points) before it found the artifacts and started backing it down to a resonable level.
- during the overclocking (i wasn't even close to questionable values yet) my screen freaked. I managed to get a screenshot saved before i had to restart:
I've had my clocks higher than they were when this happened with no problems at all.

#9 | | Guest | Okay I just installed ngo over the last omega drivers and the computer went reallllllllly slow. But it was fixed after using a driver cleaner and installing NGO drivers again.
However there are still some more problems (all within ati tray). I click AtiTray then Display then Settings and it says "Device not supported".
I have a 9800 AIW maybe this is the reason?
Also when I go to Tweaks > Advanced direct3d tweaks, and then click OK. The display gets all messed up and corrupted and I have to reboot. I will try to work out these problems, and its possible they are due to AtiTray, but could be driver problems as well..
oh and also, is there any way for ati tray tool to detect a 3D program then enable higher clock speeds? If it cant I will have to reinstall ATItool..
edit:
ok I had some issue with the catalyst 5.3 drivers, I tried ATI 5.3 too and it was messed up as well. Went back to cat 5.1s and its fine.. damn wasted so much time on this shit.

Doubt it, i have the same card and i didn't have that problem. The 5.3 cats work fine for me too.
