Exclamation Better 2D windows xp GUI performance

Do you work in the next release on better win xp GUI performance? My speed of games is really fast with Radeon 9800SE with 8 pipelines activated but windows GUI is so slow no smooth... do you know why? what i must activate in ati tray tools for better 2d gui performance??

Sorry for my english, i am from slovakia and thanx for your quick answers

* Hard Disk
* CPU
* Ram

hes asking why his 2d Desktop is sluggish regen

this occurs to me when my drivers aren't installed,
vranikx, is your AGP Gart driver installed

My PC configuration is: Athlon64 2800+, 1024 MB DDRAM, 80 Maxtor ATA133, 200 Seagate SATA, Sapphire Radeon 9800SE 8 pipelines activated...

When I set "Show window content when draging" my dragged window is no smooth, this is only what i want, how can I set in Ati Tray Tools for better performance?

If ATI Smartgart is disabled, enable it and reboot. After that you can disable it again. This solved my problem.

Try to enable/disable FastWrites and check out the SmartGart settings
