Default Need help with Radeon X1300

Hi, I tried the NGO ATI optimized drivers version 1.7.3 on my ATI Radeon X1300 Pro (256mb) recently, and I gotta say: Wow. Great improvement. I don't know if it worked for you, but in my case, I saw a big difference while playing Oblivion... and I would definitely want to keep using these drivers, but I have some problems..

First of all, it's no big deal, but once in a while, I get a blue screen saying that there's a problem with the file "ati2dvag.dll"... apparently this file makes my computer crash once in a while.

So. Okay. This happens once in a while, and I can deal with it because of the obvious performance boost the drivers give me. But now the main problem is that whenever I try to use the drivers, as soon as Windows loads, I get a black screen, no matter what I do, (only my mouse cursor is visible). This forces me to uninstall the NGO drivers and reinstall the official drivers. I tried putting back the NGO drivers, but this issue keeps reappearing!

I wanna know if this ever happened to any of you, and if you have any idea on how I can fix this... because I really wanna keep using the NGO drivers...

Thanks!

another opinion would be to get omega drivers, they are up to 7.10 so far

Sounds like a bad install

make sure your old drivers completely disappear before reinstalling the new ones
a reboot or 2 with no drivers might help

or one of those drive cleaner programs

diffrence between ngo and omega

im not sure different modder and a newer version?
used omega for years and allways good with ati cards
