#1 | | Advanced Member | | CPU: Pentium D 820 2.8 Ghz | | | RAM: 2GB Corsair PC2-6400 | | Begging for a new driver | | Is there any new NGOHQ modded ATI driver in development? I havent had a decent ATI driver since I had my X600 back in August. I think that was based on 7.3. Ever since then I have had a problem with every single driver I have tried. |

#2 | | Banned | | GPU: Gainward Bliss 9600GT | | | RAM: 4G OCZ Reaper X DDR2 | | The optimized drivers are based on the original release only the .inf file is changed to improve performance and enhance settings. If from the Cat 7.3 you have been having issues with every driver you have tried I think you have other issues. I thought I mentioned that on another thread.
Can you provide more system info via Sandra or another program to help resolve your issue Bro ? |

I do know that Dell often has old drivers on its site so I'm not sure If its compatibility or they haven't bothered to update their website. As for the PSU, Dell screwed me over with a BTX power supply, and I haven't been able to find anything compatible. I also heard that they make the cases so only certain PSUs will fit. I hope my problems aren't because of power. My card is a low power one so I was hoping it wasn't a problem. | I took a quick look though the info you posted I am short time this morning .. actually the car is warming up outside as I am typing this was -11C here last night lol. On your PSU I really don't think that's what is causing your issues related to video but would be nice to upgrade it. Like I was your just on the verge of needing one if you upgrade anything else. I have had 2 Dell cases including my current one that has a Corsair HX-520 installed in it no problems at all with install.
On your chipset that made the most difference for me here when I changed to this ASrock board and installed this PCI-E X1950. It uses a VIA chipset that I updated on the ASrock site. I am talking a HUGE difference memory tests in everest went from numbers like 1500Mb/s read and write to over 3000. Also video speed increased as well I was getting 600 on 3dmark6 when I first installed this mobo and x1950 .. getting near 4000 now ... will post more about your results later gotta run |

#5 | | Loyal DAAMIT User | I would definitely do two things:
Get a REALLY STABLE power supply and chage the motherboard. Deel boards are shite even though some of them are made by ASUS. I think that 375watts isnt enough i would suggest going with 450 or something. And a unit that has a good brand like antec, enermax, thermaltake, corsair ETC... motherboard i would change for something thats better like ASUS P5K series or P5E series (choose whether you have microATX or standard ATX. )

#6 | | Advanced Member | | CPU: Pentium D 820 2.8 Ghz | | | RAM: 2GB Corsair PC2-6400 | | Thanks. I just suffered from a win32k.sys BSOD as I began to play a game. What I dont understand is why. The PSU is cool. The GPU is cool. The only problem recently is every month I open my PC for a full cleaning. I usually remove the CPU Coller and the CPU. This last time I noticed there was not that much thermal paste on the CPU. I also noticed after I put everything together and cleared the dust, my CPU fan seemed louder. Im keeping my case open now to see what happens. |

Still not sure on the chipset if you should use Dell or Intel's page but this seemed odd to me ....

Should your memory not be installed physically in the first two banks 1 and 2 or logically 0/1 and 2/3 ?

I would ensure you have a good layer of thermal paste on your CPU I suggest Arctic Silver thermal compound. Also keep a close eye running your case open especially if your dell case uses a chassis mounted CPU fan and ductwork covering the passive cooler like this one did originally. Opening the case interrupts the front to rear air flow of the case and how that CPU cooler setup works ...

#10 | | Advanced Member | | CPU: Pentium D 820 2.8 Ghz | | | RAM: 2GB Corsair PC2-6400 | | Things have taken at turn for the worse. I started Windows and when CCC initialized I got a win32k.sys BSOD. The next time I got into the game.I do the minimize test on World in Conflict, and it dies with the sound repeating over and over. Its always win32k.sys. My error reports are corrupted now too. I upgraded my chipset software, newest BIOS, 7.10 RC4 Catalyst, and upgraded my Creative Audio Drivers. Ive been reduced to playing only Jetman. I think I might need to do a complete reinstall. I wish I didnt have to but I think I will. I think I might go with Vista this time. Please if you can help me it would be appreciated.
