This may be a stupid newbie question but what's the difference between ATI Catalyst 7.5 (CCC) and NGO ATI Optimized Driver 1.7.3 , which should I install?

Hmm i dunno , im not ati user , but i read on some other thred Chaos mentioned that ther was some problems with the 7.3 catalyst , and the problem was also in NGO 1.7.3. .

But you shuld wait till some other members drop a word mate .

Well the 7.5 is the latest from Ati . It have not ben modded by NGO yet from what i know.

I am using the 7.4 and prefer them to the NGO 1.7.3 drivers. I haven't installed the 7.5 yet.

The 7.4s showed a dramatic improvement over the 7.3, which is why I'm using them. More improvements were made to 7.5, but I'm waiting for the next set of NGO drivers before moving on from 7.4

I think 'maybe' your question refers to what the numbers mean, right? If not, just skip this post.

Anyway, ATI Catalyst 7.5 CCC is the official ATI drivers with the Catalyst Control Center.

The NGO ATI Optimized Driver 1.7.3 is ATI drivers based on ATI Catalyst 7.3. So, the NGO drivers are based on ATI drivers two versions older than the ATI 7.5.
