#1 | | Newbie | Problems with NGO 1.7.3 Hello everyone,
I'm using the NGO Driver since 1.5, and it aways worked fine for me. Today I installed the 1.7.3 and i'm getting some problems.
1 - Everytime i quit a game, my computer freeze. I got a corrupted image (colored squares) in the screen and the computer simply stop responding.
2 - After installing the Driver, my monitor start flickering. If i kill the process ati2evxx.exe( wich is duplicated in the task manager), it stops flickering, but i can't open the Catalyst Control Center anymore.
I did all the correct procedure before installing (uninstall the old driver, run drivercleaner Pro in safe mode then installing the new one). The temperature is Ok.
Anyone can give me any hint? The last thing i want is to format this machine... Too much thing to backup...
My specs are:
MSI K8N-Neo4
A64 3000+ Vernice
2GB DRR 400 Samsung
160GB SATA Samsung
Syncmaster 794mb 17" CRT
Powercolor X800GTO16 PCI-e (I Think is the same as the X800 XL)
Windows XP Professional SP2 Portuguese

#5 | | Newbie | Not yet. I just created a new partition in my HD and did a windows fresh install. Installing only the 1.7.3 drivers gave me some problems with freezing the machine and corrupting the image. Just reinstalled the previous version i was using (1.6.12) and everything looks ok. I'll try the catalyst 7.4. |

NGO ATI Optimezed Driver 1.7.3 | There were some serious problems with the 7.3 drivers both ATI official and NGO. I was losing my video signal completely in some cases and had to revert to 7.2 until the 7.4s came out.
I'm presently using official 7.4s without problems.
