Smile Best driver for ati mobility x1400

Hi!!

Just wanted to share my results from my little driver comparison test. I have a laptop Lg P1 Express Dual, i've been looking(like many others) for the best performing driver available for the x1400. I just did a simple test with futuremark's 3DMark03, free edition.
computer spec:

LG P1-J2MXV Express Dual - Core 2 Duo T5600 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 / 1.86 GHz ( dual core )

Cacheminne: 2 MB - L2-cache

RAM: 1 GB (installed) / 4 GB (max) - DDR II SDRAM - 667 MHz - PC2-5300 ( 1 x 1 GB

Harddrive: 100 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm

Graphics: ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400 with 512 MB HyperMemory - 128 MB .

I compared the latest Omega drivers + zer0point and NGO's drivers and the results are breath taking... i mean sure there would be differences, otherwise they wouldnt serve any purpose, but i didnt expect this.

Check it out! I tried the ngo last.

zer0point 4553
omega 4583
ngo 5181

it differs 600 points! It's like i would have OCd it or something, can someone explain this? Or maybe im just extremely lucky. Has anyone else experienced similar results?
I havent tested how stabil it is or anything, but its pretty cool so far !

What do you guys think?

/Frankie

We understood you, but it isn't necessary to post the same thread twice. Please refrain yourself from doing so.

Thank you

I bet they do, it would be really cool to see what results you get with them on your x700. You'll probably get better results overall than me im afraid. When i bought the computer i chose between computers (with different specs though that i had to consider) with x700 and x1400, finally i picked the one with the x1400. But after a little forum browsing it seems like the x700 kicks x1400 butt, i guessed i rushed my buy a little bit, not that i necessarely think its a bad card (especially now after the driver boost), im ok with not running the games at max settings, but it would be cool to see a direct difference between them, since it was hard find when i browsed around.

thax for all posts so far too, nice to get some feedback.

cheers! / Frankie
