Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard Review @ techPowerUp
Posted by Regeneration on March 10th, 2007, 05:31 AM

Saitek's Eclipse II keyboard is the successor of the Eclipse. It features three different backlight colors and some very comfortable keys for stress and pain free gaming. The layout looks a bit futuristic, while keeping the size and weight at the same level as normal keyboards. We light it up and try it out with gaming and every day work and let you know how it fares.

You would suggest it then ? See this might be up my alley as my current keyboard sucks and I like the idea of the keys being "a tad larger than normal". Some of the cons in the article don't bother me I have 6 USB ports and an Auzentech soundcard in my machine and a 6 channel mixer a foot from my right shoulder so a headphone jack on my keyboard I really don't need either.

See I am the worlds worst typer and this keyboard is too small for my hands .. might have to go look at one next weekend Cheers

Well i have played around with it at one of the computer shops and honeslty its build quality is (to me) not even near the one of my Logitech G15. But its true for worst typers (Mac Daddy) the keys are big.

I have a Logitech G15 and a Razer Tarantula and I'm currently using the Tarantula. I like the "feel" of the keys a bit more on the Razer and the hot key placement is better for me personally.

The G15 is still a really nice keyboard, and the LCD is nice, however I usually only used the LCD for the date/time when playing games as other then that it wasn't very useful.

Major downside of the Tarantula is the price, but the Black with blue led's really matched my system well so I spent the money and so far I haven't really regretted it .

Was gonna wait for the Razer as their products are awesome, but once it was released and I saw the price tag, I thought they were having a laugh! my Saitek looks good with my CM Stacker anyways with the blue black and silver combo.
