G80 Vista driver coming mid December @ The Inquirer
Posted by Regeneration on December 4th, 2006, 04:18 PM

NVIDIA told world + dog that it's Geforce 8800 GTX and GTS driver is now scheduled for the middle of December. Nvidia still doesn’t want to give away the driver to its partners nor the press but some key guys were informed that the G80 driver is in a good shape and works well. We certainly hope that they are right.

Oh great! Nvidia has released a DirectX 10 solution – everyone is saying how great it is; but they don’t have a driver. All this hype around G80 is so lame because no one even tested it on DirectX10. How the hell can you say it’s so great when there is no driver? This is a shame! You can’t claim and sale a product that supposes to support something and you don’t a driver for it.

Apparently Nvidia is rushing out with their products (G80, Quad-SLI) and releasing it to the public before it’s fully ready. Why they do that? Because of the competition with AMD-ATI! They don’t care to sacrifice our trust and to release half-ready products just because of ATI.
