AMD turns to Nvidia for 4x4 chipset @ The Inquirer

NVIDIA will provide the chipset for AMD's 4x4 ‘Quadfather’. The chipset which is as yet unannounced will include two x16 and two x8 PCI-e slots, and AMD was showing off a 4x4 system in its suite. The board that was in a machine here was an Asustek board and the computer was running two game windows, each playing a high definition video, encoding a high definition video and streaming a gameplay video through Internet Exploder.

WTH? This makes a lot of sense, NOT. This entire merger “thing” almost killed the famous RD600 chipset; and now AMD is helping NVIDIA instead of reducing ATI’s damage (due to Intel’s license loss).
