Microsoft: We're Close to Shipping IE7 @ BetaNews
Posted by Regeneration on August 25th, 2006, 07:17 PM

Microsoft is very confident in this latest version of IE7, with Cobb saying she didn't see a need for a second release candidate. Still, she acknowledged that, "it all depends on feedback on RC1." Cobb would not commit to a more solid launch date other than saying that she was confident that the browser would ship in the fourth quarter.

I hope they're checking my error reports.

I had two errors generated last night after installing RC1. Both were generated when I clicked on a link within a tabbed page that opened a non-tabbed page. Then, when I tried to close the non-tabbed page, the error occured. After sending the error report, I clicked on OK and ALL of the IE7 windows closed.....tabbed and non-tabbed.
