While it probably doesn't often enter the thoughts of gamers, hardcore users, and those who require computers for productivity applications, the majority of users don't need as much power as the high-end cards on the market. And when they do need 3D capabilities it is often still very low-end overall. But the low-end sees the benefit, more than able to handle today's applications as gamers and others raise the standards for more RAM, processor speed, storage, and video card power. They make the tech race move faster, and help keep prices down by encouraging competition to be the fastest. While Nvidia may be more known for their high-end, high-cost video cards, they also provide solutions for the low-end as well.
