AMD announced today that Rich Oehler, a 40-year industry veteran well known for his groundbreaking work in microprocessor, symmetric multi-processing and mission-critical systems design, has joined AMD’s Office of Strategy and Technology reporting to CTO Fred Weber.

“It is a real honor to have Rich join the AMD team,” said Weber. “His unique depth of experience in enterprise computing enhances an already immensely talented group focused on strengthening the performance, reliability, availability and scalability features of our 64-bit solutions.”
