The final build of Windows 8.1 Update 1 has been accidently leaked by Microsoft earlier today, a month before its official release on April. The update is officially called Windows 8.1 Spring 2014 Update and has a build number of 6.3.9600.17031.WINBLUE_GDR.140221-1952. It was available to download from Windows Update servers for a few hours - until TechCrunch informed Microsoft of the mistake - and the company removed it right away. Fortunately, we managed to grab all files just in time, and now we have a mirror up and running.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 is divided to several MSU files that must be installed in the following order: KB2919442, KB2939087, KB2919355, KB2932046, KB2938439, KB2937592.

Download for Windows 8.1 32-bit
Download for Windows 8.1 64-bit
Download for Windows RT 8.1

Already have it installed. System seems to be even faster than it was before and some programs, for example safari, do not hang anymore. Gui changes are minimalistic but useful, i like changes they introduced.

Here you can see pics from my installation:

Cool downloading now: So what are the requirements of this? I have the regular 8.1 installed...
(Been looking for an downloadable update that will let me take a system directly from 8.0 to 8.1
without the windows store download. Or will I need 8.1 update installed 1st?)

I don't know what the deal is, but during the installation of KB2919355 (the 707KB one), which took a very long time, my CPU temperature alarm was triggering off and on pretty weirdly. Unfortunately, I literally -just- made this installation, so I didn't have my temp monitoring software installed to see what was actually going on. It eventually succeeded without any apparent trouble, though. Just a weird thing. I've not had my temperature alarm go off on this machine ever, so it's really weird.

Cut and paste this to make a Easy install batch file, you still use manual prompts , and for
the love of god turn off AV/firewall/sandboxing Comodo drove me nuts testing this .bat until
I did. Cut and paste in a txt file and save as .bat in the folder with the files. Windows
security will prompt you if you want to open (update name). Click yes, the update will start.
When it asks if you want to reboot or cancel, CHOOSE CANCEL . The next update will load
repeat the process. The file will pause to tell completion and then reboot your system when
you press any key.

To expand on this, you can install these silently and/or without a reboot notice.

wusa.exe ".\Windows8.1-KB2919442-x64.msu" /quiet /norestart
