Microsoft Releases Mini DirectX 11.1 for Windows 7

In a surprising move, Microsoft has released a beta platform update (KB2670838) that brings some of DirectX 11.1 features to Windows 7. This platform update enables improved features and performance on Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. It includes updates to the following DirectX components:

• Direct2D
• DirectWrite
• Direct3D
• Windows Imaging Component (WIC)
• Windows Advanced Rasterization Platform (WARP)
• Windows Animation Manager (WAM)
• XPS Document API
• H.264 Video Decoder
• JPEG XR codec

Nice! gave me 1-4 more fps in Skyrim, can΄t hurt.

Its not really DX11.1, it`s more like a much needed update in the libraries that does bring a slight performance increase.
