Follow us on Facebook and Twitter
Posted by Regeneration on October 22nd, 2009, 08:30 PM

I always thought that Facebook is a service for lamers and newbies. But now it seems that real people are using it... don’t ask me why. So without many choices, I’ve created a page for NGOHQ.com on both Facebook and Twitter. In addition, I’ve created a profile on Facebook for myself, so now I’m a subject for harassment as well.

Well, I still think Facebook is for lamers.

Example 1: One kids discusses with his friends about his great fabook relationship with some guy who he doesn't even say hello to in real life. Btw. RL as an acronym is really, but really getting on my nerves.

Example 2: Once I used some Facebook as I wanted to access somebody's profile. I registered as "Radomir Boromir". Looked it up, there is not one reference with Google for the said combination. Logged in ONCE with that account. Still, now and then, people add me as a "friend".

Example 3: One guy from my town, who I usually really can't stand, has 2500 "friends" on Facebook (this is a one year old figure, it probably grew larger) and not one friend in "real" life.

but irl...lol kidding

Honestly though, its all in what you use it for right? sure it can be used as a lame popularity contest but some peopel do use it for what it was intended.

I myself have friends and family all over canada and in poland, Ive got like 28 friends on there but their all real friend aor family and we use it to keep in touch which I see nothing wrong with, infact I think its great for that and really enables us to stay intune.

But yes theres all sorts of lame kids on there that turned it into another myspace and just a big popularity contest or a place to air their dirty laundry, but what can you do, right?

Kill them all?

It is a viable solution. I'll start with my "2500 friends" guy.
