Loved using it but have had to do without since January as I've been using W7 x64 almost exclusively since. | | | | post up the error message. | | | | DSEO should be able to fix this, no? | | | | At me this works without problems, installed and application started. Windows 7 x64 build 7100 here. | | | | I went ahead and tried this latest release. The error...upon installation and start up is the Dig Sig Warning message.
I can actually get it to run, but, there is no support to control my Video Card's fan. That's been missing from ATT for my last 3 video cards: HD2600XT; HD3870, and now the HD4770.
I really don't want to be doing any overclocking without also being able to do the fan control. AND, since fan control IS available in CCC, that's what I use for OC'ing.
If Ray could get fan control in this, I'd be one happy customer. | | | | I get this error message too, but i can control fan and speeds in my 3850. | | | | Quote:

"Cannot connect to Low Level Driver.....reinstall...." | | | | I get this error message with few preview versions but on this one posted here i do not have this error. | | | | Quote:

I even disabled the ATI Hotkey Poller in the options. | | | | I installed tool by right-key-click onto installer and chose "run as administrator", maybe it made that tool is working fine at me. | | | | argh, if only Verisign would provide discounts for hobbyist developers. | | | | 64-bit users should use DSEO. | | | | I tried to install it, but I actually got a BSOD when I started ATT? So uninstall iminent! Too bad as it is a great peace of software.
Ps. Damn I noticed NGOHQ has gotten much faster now, before NGOhq was a really slow page for me. But not anymore! This is great, much more fun to cruise the site. Great work guys @staff. | | | | Quote:

I got also that warning about certificate, but ATT runs great,I can control fan speed,etc.... | | | | I honestly cant say I ever truly cared for ATT, its kinda buggy and finiky and the developer is a total pompus douchebag | | | | Its the best clocking and fan controlling tool for ati cards i think. Use it on Vista x64, win 7 x64 (for HD4870) and on xp and win 7 x86 (for x1600 mobility)
No other tool i found has this varity of options (fanspeed incl. profiles, over-/underclocking, over-/undervolting, auto switching profiles when 3d app active, auto switching after sleep/standby, and various more)
It's a bit tricky and not that easy to handle but it works really fine and i never had problems with it (except some on layer 8 )
To get it running under x64 u have to use DSEO to enable the Windows "Test Mode". Then u can load any unsigned driver. | | | | Does it support HD5850 already? I should have it in mail tomorrow. | | | | I meant to get back to this thread but got distracted.
I did get the program to run. But, I had to first Run as Administrator. It still gives the warning about Low Level Driver.
There is a place under the Hot Keys where you are supposed to be able to adjust the fan speed using Hot Keys. It does NOT work.
Also, under the Hardware Overclocking, this program is WAY WAY off on reading my Core/Mem. Take a look at the screenshot posted below.
It really is hard to trust this program with it having so many bugs...or whatever you want to call them. I do, personally, like the program. But, it needs some more work. |

| Quote | | | | | | | Well I guess Hotkeys don't work because ATT is running in admin mode and you're running in user mode. Try disabling UAC and it should work.
And i think the wrong clocks are shown because the low level driver is not loaded. It's not ATTs fault it's Vista's "security" which doesn't allow uncertified drivers. That's why u have to run vista/7 in test mode. Then it should run fine.
I just got my HD5850 and will try ATT on it later, i'll u tell if it works or not. | | | | Not yet running with my HD5850 get a freeze when starting ATT. | | | | Same here actual version is not working with the HD 5850.
Caused a bluescreen and directly system reboot on my xp machine.
On Vista or Win7 the application is just crashing. | | | | One thing I've noticed when having ATT active is that I get a screen flicker under certain circumstances. Example: Start up Microsoft Games e.g. Freecell. Screen flickers off an on. End the game: Screen flickers off and on. It seems that maybe the change from 2D to 3D may be causing this. But, that doesn't happen as long as ATT is not active. | | | | Quote:
Originally Posted by Dyre Straits It seems that maybe the change from 2D to 3D may be causing this. | Yeah, this happens when switching from 3D to 2D (that is, when the card switches the clocks to a higher value), but you usually don't notice it when starting a standard game. However, with freecell it definitively shouldn't be happening, something must be off. Did you OC the card with ATT? | | | | Quote:

But, I was also OC'ing with CCC and this was not happening with Freecell -- or anything else -- that I could detect. It's quite noticeable with Freecell, though. The flicker is very brief but annoying nonetheless. And, it does happen on both monitors.
One other thing that I should mention is that I also have FRAPS running. Oddly, FRAPS shows the FPS in Freecell when it's running just like it would in a game. BUT, important, I do this without ATT and when OC'ing the card with CCC, too.
So, this is happening ONLY when ATT is active. | | | | Quote:

The problem when OCing is that you need to detect the level of GPU load so that you can determine when the clocks should be changed. For instance, your 2D clock will be 500HMz, while under full load it will be 750MHz. You can drop the 2D clock even more as to put the card into an even lover power state. Anyway, ATT needs to know when to make the switch.
I'm not sure how ATT works in this regard, but Riva tuner does this-
* you firstly create two profiles, one for 2D another for 3D
* now you choose the threshold parameter. Obviously you can not use the core clock as you'll be changing it, so I sues the GPU load
* you set the 2D profile to be active when the parameter drops below, say 30% and 3D when it goes above 30%.
ATT must have some threshold that needs to be set. | | | | Well, for one thing, ATT doesn't read my sensors correctly. As I posted in the image above, the read out for my current GPU and MEM speeds is WAY off. GPU = 13.50 and MEM = 2.25. I was told it's because the Low Level Driver isn't getting installed.
It does, however, read the correct default clock speeds per the BIOS.
So, as stated previously, this [ATT] needs more work, I think. | | | | Have you tried using DSEO tool on the driver file and turning the driver testing mode on? | | | | Quote:
Originally Posted by mkey Have you tried using DSEO tool on the driver file and turning the driver testing mode on? | Actually, no. In order to use it one has to completely disable UAC. If there was a way to customize it to work only for those troublesome drivers it would be more attractive.
I already have UAC lowered to the point I want it to be and don't want to completely disable it. | | | | Well, UAC for me is something I just need to know how to switch off.
Doesn't the driver testing mode work with UAC on? You could turn it off temporarily, turn the signaled mode on with DSEO, restart the system, sign the driver and turn UAC back on.
It's no wonder the tool is not working properly if the driver isn't installed. It would be weird if it did work | | | | I had it running on my prior Win 7 install (i'm reinstalling right now, i've got a hard drive that is throwing errors) just fine, except that the "Show 3d renderer" comes up with an error stating that my system doesn't support OpenGL, please upgrade drivers.
Win 7 x64, used DSEO to fix things, ATI x850xl, can't use the overclock tools to any reasonable degree because of this. | | | | oh, btw, mkey, you do have to turn off UAC for it to be able to load the driver, even in testing mode. meh. | | |
