Last year I was working for a large sign company. I was making good money, and doing everything right. My teenage son was happy, and things were good.

Then, in May, my mother passed away due to cancer. A month later, my father passed away. In November, I lost my job. The company I worked for closed it's doors.

I had to sell nearly everything I owned. I sold my 65" DLP HDTV, I sold my sons new mountain bike, I sold my camcorder, my PS3, my XBOX 360, everything. Just to survive. Unemployment screwed me, and said I wasn't eligible due to a overpayment in 2001. I did everything I could do to survive.

In February of this year, I got a job. I worked there for 4 months, and they laid me off due to lack of work. Six other people lost their jobs as well. This time, I had to sell my new car, a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo.

Unemployment still will not lift it's disqualification, and I am pennyless. I was rejected Welfare since my son is almost 18.

Soon, my electric company will be turning out the lights, and my eviction notice is forthcoming. My son is moving back to his mothers, the same son I raised as a single father since he was 2 years old.

I can't imagine anyone understanding these hardships, since my life has almost become unbelievable. I have literally lost everything.

Please, have a heart, and select somebody who is deserving of this wonderful prize. Whether it's me or somebody else, please give it to somebody who could really use the spirit lifter.

Another funny contest!
I remember March 31st, 2005 when we competed about a Radeon X800XL 256MB, and I ended up in 9th place according to the Outlook print-screen picture. Stayed up the whole night and searched, since the GMT difference and did my very best.

One funny thing with IRL or Internet overall is, that you always hear about people who win cool stuff, or bought a awesome thing at Ebay for a really nice price. Since im unemployed, I would like to be that guy for ones, who can tell the tale that I won something I couldn't afford right now.

Because Im stuck in Iraq where you cant get an I7 even if you tried, using an HP MINI with an intermittant internet connection so I cant really post all to often but Ill try to get the 10 post needed right now while I am connected. Reasons why I don't deserve to be the winner:
- I have a working processor in my computer
- Because of the previous statement, I would probadly make the money out of the prize and use it to some whores as they give more pleasure compared to some processors
- I heard from my mom that i7 doesn't perform nearly as good as my Guad Core Q8200

Well, Im a gamer whos playing at competitive level, I mean I got a team whichs playing in leagues, and every frame is lethal to me, I find even my oc'ed e8400 not managing our game, its team fortress2. Sometimes dipping to 30fps means whole team failure. And the game is very cpu related. Oh and being student I cant afford this goodness myself. Thats why I want this i7.

well having a cpu already, ram and mb in my country is cheaper than cpu already. Within a month or too I could get them, but for whole system it would take a year.

I have assembled by myself and used some PCs new tech, some of them based on Athlon 939, 940 Dual Core, 4 Core CPUs, on Intel I assembled some 2 & 4 Core based CPUs. I have not yet had the opportunity to assemble any PC based on i7 CPU ...might it be the occasion to allow for doing it... I am so incited for that eventuality... Why do I need the Intel Core i7 920 Processor, you ask? Now there's a story. Make yourself comfortable and I will tell you from the beginning. I can't promise it will be interesting but I assure you it is long!

I have always been a movie fanatic. If it is on VHS, VCD, DVD, or the internet I will probably give it a watch. When I was a teenager I was diagnosed with a degenerative illness and so I spent a lot of time at home watching movies rather than going to school and learning the oh-so-important life lessons that go along with being shoved into lockers and having the waistband of your underwear pulled up to your eyebrows. No need for sympathy yet, it turns out I was misdiagnosed and my condition was treatable - I am obviously still alive or I wouldn't be writing this, well, unless I was a ghost, but then I would have no need for an Intel Core i7 920 Processor, would I?

There was a local, mom and pop, video rental store in my home town and my father and I were quite well known there because I watched so many movies and we were in there so frequently. This was before DVDs were the main media-type for movies so VHS was the order of the day. One day, I remember it well because I actually walked all the way to the video store for the first time, I came across a movie called "The Refrigerator." It looked like your typical B horror film but I was bored and decided to give it a watch. When I got home and opened the VHS snap-case I did not fine a cassette with a professionally printed label, but rather a common TDK recordable cassette with "21, 94, 8, 61" scrawled in black magic marker across the lined, otherwise blank, label.

Curious, I popped the cassette into the VCR and the strangest thing happened. A man came on the screen and began reciting numbers, starting with the four numbers on the label of the cassette! It was the oddest thing I had ever seen recorded. The man continued to rattle off the series of numbers for about ten minutes before the tape just went to snow.

I packaged up the cassette and that night I returned to the rental store and complained to the manager who kindly gave me a credit on my account. I quickly went of grabbed a new movie and forgot all about the tape, the strange man, and the series of numbers he rattled off. Then, two years ago something happened to bring back that odd, seemingly benign, memory. I was sitting in my local generic Seattle-style chain coffee shop, drinking my over-roasted coffee and enjoying a good book - Dune, if I recall correctly, when I glanced to my left and saw a scrap of paper on the floor. Written on the paper were the same numbers written across the label of the cassette from years ago. More than that, on the scrap of paper the sequence continued on, filling the entire scrap of paper with numbers.

I grabbed the scrap of paper and went straight home. I started writing a program to try to figure out why these numbers and why this sequence. That program has been running non-stop on my Athlon XP 1800+ for the past two years and it still hasn't finished. This is why I need the Intel Core i7 920 Processor! I need to be able to find my answer so I can end this crazy obsession and get on with my life! I need closure.

Well, since I work with 3d animation and modeling, I feel I'm not getting enough rendering power to produce over 9000 polygons in less than 5 days. I've been thinking of updating my computer parts, from processor to gfx card and I gotta say that this would be a huge progress towards the hyper machine. Although, I'd have to buy a new mobo with the new processor...don't think you could throw in a fresh motherboard as well?

I have a pretty old computer. i7 is a bit costlier than other processor but I need it still cause of its uber performance. Its time to move on to the new Nehalem architecture.
