ATI Catalyst 9.10 Beta
Posted by Regeneration on September 27th, 2009, 02:45 PM

A new beta build (8.66RC7) of ATI’s Catalyst software has been leaked to the web by MSI. This particular software suite updates both the AMD Display Driver, and the Catalyst Control Center. This unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability. The AMD Catalyst software suite is the ultimate in performance and stability.

I didn't have problems with 9.9, i've never had problems with catalyst drivers, it's funny but i only had problems with forceware drivers when i've been using geforce 6600gt.
Radeon x300se, hd2600, hd3850, no problems with catalyst driver, geforce 6600gt and once or twice happend to me problem with forceware drivers.

Else story are modified drivers.

same here spectator, I had to be really selective which drivers i ran with my 6600gt but have never had a problem with my x1950 or my hd4870 and drivers

the issues with 9.9 ranged from the OpenGL ICD not working, to system lockups and crashes.

problem was the card, not the drivers.

the first gen of the AGP bridge chip was really flawed badly. if the drivers push the card in the wrong way it results in freezing or crashing.

its why i stayed the fuck away from the bridge chipped generations.

I had pci-express version of this card, the only agp card i ever had was geforce 5200, all others after this one was pci-express so problem wasn't card itself.

well you can't really say thats true... the 6600GT PCI-E had its fair share of issues.

There is a newer beta release that does not have the MSI logo. I saw it here:
