Wolfenstein Review
Posted by Regeneration on August 26th, 2009, 10:18 PM

The Second World War is one of the darkest times for Europe and also the basis for many first person shooter. Back in MS DOS times Wolfenstein was already one of the most favourite games when looking at fps-games. The latest title from id Software is name simply Wolfenstein and tries to bring the successful story to the next level.

Again and again there are rumors about theories that the Nazis in the Second World War also investigated occultism and black magic to use the in the war against the allied troups. Wolfenstein takes this myths and packs them into a stagy story.

You act as B.J. Blaskowicz and with the help of a mythical amulett which is able to lead you into a foreign dimension you're trying to hunt the Nazis down. On your way you'll have to gather information about what the Nazis are planning with the dark forces they explore. Therefore you need quick reaction times, you'll experience no gravity as well as a new mysterious dimension and even more strange things id Software has though of.

With the help of the Amulett and a rather big arsenal of weapons you'll have to fight your way through the sheer superior Nazis. You'll also have to solve riddles and gather gold which is important to buy new weapons or upgrade on the black market as well as new forces for your amulett. Story as well as gameplay are a bit linear but never the less the their relized quite stagy.
