Mozilla Firefox 3.5 RC2
Posted by Regeneration on June 19th, 2009, 11:17 PM

Faster, more secure, easier to use and sporting a new look, this latest Firefox release sets a new standard for web browser innovation. Mozilla Firefox project (formerly Firebird, which was formerly Phoenix) is a redesign of Mozilla's browser component, written using the XUL user interface language and designed to be cross-platform. It is small, fast and easy to use, and offers many advantages over other web browsers, such as the tabbed browsing and the ability to block pop-up windows.

Firefox 3 is based on the Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform, which has been under development for the past 34 months. Building on the previous release, Gecko 1.9 has more than 15,000 updates including some major re-architecting to provide improved performance, stability, rendering correctness, and code simplification and sustainability. Firefox 3 has been built on top of this new platform resulting in a more secure, easier to use, more personal product with a lot more under the hood to offer website and Firefox add-on developers.

and I moved back to 3.0.11 because when I cancel a download on RC3,it kind of freezes whole firefox for some time.

ive noticed with 3.5 firefox doesnt start the first time i click the icon, i have to do it again and then it opens 2 instances, kinda annoying

something is wrong with your system or Fx profile then.

well only firefox does it, and only since I installed 3.5 so its gotta be an issue with ff, but im too lazy to uninstall/reinstall it

yes, it automatically becomes Firefox's fault that it doesn't work properly, probably because of a buggy extension you have installed.

just like its nvidia's fault when the driver crashes because you have the ram set incorrectly.

i dont have many addons, just the basics like fire gestures, downthemall and what not, all compatible with 3.5, typcially when a new version of something is released and it doesnt work properly then yes it is their fault.

not when it works fine for everyone else.
