Nvidia ForceWare 185.68
Posted by Regeneration on April 13th, 2009, 04:03 PM

Nvidia Corporation has also released a new beta ForceWare driver. This driver offers support for GeForce 9, 200 series and available to Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, 2003, MCE, Vista and their 64-bit versions as well. Unfortunately, Nvidia has decided to play games with its customers once again by removing GeForce 8 series support in this release. This driver includes performance optimizations for The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.

i learnt early on with working on vista machines that the black screen at start is either a unrecoverable TDR, or screwed up screen detection which forces the screen out of its max range.
