How to Restore Firefox Default Settings
Posted by Regeneration on February 24th, 2009, 10:46 PM

Mozilla Firefox is the best web-browser out there. Even with all these new browsers and upcoming Internet Explorer 8, nothing could ever beat Firefox. But sadly even Firefox is not perfect and sometimes you may experience several issues with it as well. If Firefox is misbehaving on you, there is a hidden way to restore its default settings without losing your bookmarks or saved passwords. Look for a "Firefox Safe mode" shortcut, if you can't find it, modify Firefox’s link properties and add “-safe-mode” in its target link and run it. A safe-mode prompt would appear and allow you to restore its default settings. Don’t forget to remove “-safe-mode” after.
