| Quote | | | | | installed fine here and even faster than SP1 took | | | | lol! Nice! perfect MS RC! With error's installing it is ready for release to the masses! | | | | it is the same as v.275 or it's an update for v.275? i already have KB948465 in installed updates! | | | | Build is 16670.090130-1715 v.286 | | | | after installing this SP2 RC the watermark below the screen disappears....maybe this is soon to be RTM..... | | | | Got a brief warning to Uninstall the Pre-release version first. After doing that, the installation went through without a hitch. | | | | Windows SP2 installed successfully, but numerous PROBLEMS after installation, first of all it DOES display the evaluation watermark after 2nd-3rd restart, it also un-activated a few fully registered programs which meant I had to try and find my programs registrations codes etc, its also made Nhancer (Nvidia) tweak tool use more than 70% of processor power, no fresh drivers was installed, it activates .net framework services and sets others back to default, after you boot up without re-tweaking services and settings programs can use full 100% of processor power for 5 mins or so. overall, I could not wait to un-install SP2 and its a good job I had a restotre point and I was able to successfully unistall the service pack, I would not reccomend SP2 unless you plan on a clean format of your computer and install it after windows installation in this case, SP2 as got a mix set of reviews around the internet, some for the better and some for the worse, for me it was for the worse and its your choice whether you decide to install it or not. good luck. | | | | Tried the installation of SP2 RC. First removed the original beta of sp2.
reinstalled kb947821 and ran the script on the first post.
See attachment for message.
Any ideas? The link on the message is absolutely no help. | | | | If the workaround in the post doesn't help, try to redownload the file, run a cleanup and scandisk. | | | | Still got the same message. Seems that I may not have something installed that needs to be. I have a spare drive laying around, so will try on that one. This is a slipstreamed installation that was customized.
Thanks for the suggestion. | | | | Quote:

I am using Win 7 most of the time anyway. | | | | i have this intall error...
