is an AMD chipset or cpu required for this tool?

similar function is in the DOG frontend for dosbox.

however, there are several processes that you must not lower the priority on.

explorer.exe
fraps.exe
taskswitch.exe
any ati app that comes with the CCC

as these all hook the keyboard and cause severe keyboard lag if reduced in priority.
