To be brutally honest I couldn’t quite get on with the SilverStone Raven, mainly because of its physical size and the fact I constantly had to shift my hand around on top of it whilst gaming. I put this down to the fact my hands are, I think, quite small. Don’t get me wrong the SilverStone Raven is, potentially, a very good mouse it’s just too big for me.
I cannot fault its construction it feels VERY well made, it looks the part and dares to be a bit different and pushes mouse technology that little bit further with its 11 button construction. It has a nice smooth responsive action and I love the fact you can fine-tune the DPI. The OLED display is a bit of a gimmick but it is VERY useful when setting the DPI using the on the fly alteration method in game.
Personally I would have liked to see the “Normal / Game” switch located somewhere other than the bottom of the mouse, or possibly something added into the software to toggle between the 2 modes as having to physically switch between the two was a little tiresome, though most people probably wouldn’t be doing that as often as I was whilst writing this review I guess. I suppose if you wanted to you cold set a profile up in gaming mode to use in windows?
