Crytek Offers Ten Days of Free Crysis Wars
Posted by Regeneration on December 18th, 2008, 04:35 PM

Looking for something to do during the holidays? EA and Crytek are teaming up to give the gift of gaming – in the form of 10 free days of Crysis Wars, the new multiplayer suite for Crytek’s critically-acclaimed Crysis franchise and part of this fall’s Crysis Warhead. Crysis Wars will be free to play from December 19th through December 28th, and will include the Holiday Map Pack Crytek is releasing this week for existing Crysis Wars players.

Starting today, gamers can take advantage of this great offer by registering online at www.mycrysis.com and by downloading Crysis Wars. After registration, players will receive a unique key generated on the site that will be saved to their profile, allowing them to play on all online multiplayer servers from Friday, December 19th at 11:00 AM PT to December 28th at 11:59 PM PT.

Crysis Wars is part of Crysis Warhead, the follow up to Crysis, one of the highest rated games of last year and winner of Editor’s Choice Awards from IGN and GameSpot. Crysis Wars includes three diverse multiplayer modes, InstantAction, TeamInstantAction and PowerStruggle, with 21 diverse maps ranging from large battlefields to smaller, more intimate battlegrounds. The Holiday Map Pack contains two new multiplayer maps:

• Savanna: The large savanna plains in the neighborhood of the Victoria falls provide ideal maneuvering grounds for heavy armored vehicles. The North Korean army has found out about this training facility and launched an attack on the US forces. This large map is perfect for 24-32 players.

• Frost: As the Alien invasion progresses, new crash sites are discovered around the globe. In the region of Trondheim, NK and US battle it out for new energy sources. This small map is great for 8-16 players.

For more information about Crysis Wars, the Savanna and Frost maps from the Holiday Map Pack, and to take advantage of this free offer, please visit www.mycrysis.com. For more information about Crysis Warhead please visit www.crysiswarhead.com. Crysis Warhead is available now at retail stores and leading online download services for only $29.99.

There are only 300 servers and 70% of them are empty. The other 30% are full of cheaters.

Are you sure they're not just good players? I'm frequently accused (and then acquitted) of cheating for playing well.

Nah, they suck even with their cheats, its a big clan of cheaters (H4x-Inc). They are also stealing cdkeys and reselling it - just bunch of script kiddy lamers.

The standard procedure for dealing with cheaters:

Preferred method 1: Beat them despite their cheats.
Preferred method 2: Be an admin or someone with the right to ban.

Else:

If there's an admin present or contactable by other means->Inform admin
Exception: If admin is also a cheater->Leave server

If vote-kicking is allowed->Resolve the issue with a vote, continue vote kicking if they rejoin.
Exception: If lamers outnumber you or nobody "gets it"->Leave server

Last resort, if team killing is allowed->Repeatedly kill cheaters on your team until they leave (you may have to take it in turns to avoid getting kicked).
Again if nobody understands the situation leave the server.

Things to avoid doing:
1) Attempting to persuade lamers out of using cheats. Forget it, it just doesn't work.
2) Swearing, death threats etc. This just energizes them.
3) Remaining in the server when the issue cannot be resolved.
4) Protecting cheaters in your team because of improved scores or balance or any other justifications. That's lame, pathetic, cowardly etc...

There's a difference between bragging and stating a fact.

Here's bragging: I is teh top scorez even if I take regular smoking breaks. Look at my l337 eyez!
Here's fact statement: I was playing well so the f***ots in the server thought I was cheating.
