Two new class-action lawsuits were filed against PC game marketeer Electronic Arts in October, Gamepolitics has reported. Lodged in federal court for the Northern District of California, both complaints whinge about EA's inclusion of SecuROM digital restrictions management (DRM) software with its games. One of the lawsuits cites a component of Spore and the other names a Sims 2 title.
Richard Eldridge of Pennsylvania alleges that Spore Creature Creator Free Trial Edition secretly installed SecuROM on his PC without his knowledge or consent, an action that he calls "deceptive and unlawful." His complaint says:
"The inclusion of undisclosed, secretly installed DRM protection measures with a program that was freely distributed constitutes a major violation of computer owners' absolute right to control what does and what does not get loaded onto their computers, and how their computers shall be used."

but my point is that the DRM is proposterous, so your only allowed to play the game if you have the internet? what about the people(few as they may be) that dont, their not allowed to play? wtf | | | | Mass infect sucked.
The typo is not in err. | | | | sorry man but that just shows you dont know a good game | | | | Clearly its you that doesn't, being that the majority of gamers dislike mass infect. | | | | correction, majority of fps'ers dislike mass effect because they went into it thinking it wsa gonna be a fps, its a in depth rpg and a damn good one too, it has a couple small flaws but over all its a very good game, I rank it right up there with the best rpg's and Ive played em all | | | | I doubt you've played them all, considering the best of rpg doesn't even exist on a computer. | | | | your refering to what? the final fantasy series? over rated, or do you mean like the old school stuff such as crono trigger? sure it was good at the time (key words), i dont think any of them hold a candle to some of the wizzards of the coast games but everyone likes different styles of rpg's
Ive palyed all the good ones going back many years and mass effect is a darn good rpg, it has some flaws but what game doesnt
too many emo kiddies out there that dont know whats good anymore "everything sucks, i hate the world, shut up or ill cut myself!" |
