If you are setting up a new system, with a recent VIA chipset and a recent Microsoft Windows Operating system, it is recommended that you use the latest version of the appropriate VIA Hyperion drivers. It is recommended that you back up all essential data on your system before installing any major driver, software or utility from any software or hardware vendor. VIA Hyperion drivers are suitable for any VIA chipset - but they are particularly recommended for KT4## series, P4X4## series and newer.

* V-RAID V5.80A and RAID Tools v5.81
* VIA IDE Falcon Storage Device driver v2.60A

Since they are leaving the chipset business one might want to archive these for that rainy day when someone shows up wanting help with a VIA based motherboard
